This powder horn is finished with a warm brown patina on the body and tip. The tip has a bulbous end with a ring, panels, strap ring, to engrailed border. The body of the horn has a scrimshaw border on both ends. The horn measures 13-3/4" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the wood base. A iron staple is fitted. Small iron pegs secure the base to the horn. A turned wooden stopper is fitted and secured with a woven lanyard.
